Madame Mao's Dowry, created in Shanghai in 2001, showcases early modern Chinese design in an environment enhanced by selected pieces of provincial antique furniture. Madame Mao's Dowry shows a selection of works by various artists and designers who creatively use ideas from Modern China. Iris Germanica has the honour to become one of the in house artists presenting styles from her Summer 2008 collection Chinese Baroque: a powerful encounter between clear sober lines of Chinese basics and the frills and exuberance of European baroque.
